The Prairie View A&M Foundation is an independent, nonprofit corporation governed by its own board of trustees, comprised of a cross section of the community and alumni, who have a vision for excellence to support the students and staff of the University. The Board of Trustees determines how funds are allocated and awarded based on the desires of the Donors. The Foundation is fully sanctioned by the University and the Texas A&M University System.
