- What is the advantage of donating to the Foundation rather than to the University

There may be tax advantages to the donor for donating to the Prairie View A&M Foundation.  Also, the Foundation can designate funds for educational programs and activities that are not within the budgetary guidelines of the University, Texas A&M University System or State of Texas for which state tax dollars cannot be expended.
