Megan Reed was named Executive Director with the Prairie View A&M Foundation in December, 2020.


Reed is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all PVAMF development and philanthropic efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and capital campaign fundraising initiatives.


Before ascending to The Hill, Reed led the annual fundraising efforts at the University at Buffalo, serving as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development of the Blue and White Fund. Reed’s responsibilities included overseeing all annual fund initiatives, stewardship and events. She joined the UB Athletics Department in Fall 2013 as the Director for Development. In 2016, she was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Development. Then in July 2019 she added the responsibility of Sport Administrator for the Volleyball program. In her 7 years at UB, Megan took charge of the annual fund, stewardship programs and events. The annual fund more than doubled in cash collections where she launched and created numerous fundraising initiatives. Along with the annual campaign Reed also oversaw the Football and Basketball Game Day Benefit programs and all premium seat efforts for Football and Men’s Basketball. In addition she oversaw all special events and stewardship events.

Reed came to UB from the Hyatt Regency Buffalo where she served as the Sales Manager for the Sports and University markets. At the Hyatt, she was the top producing sales manager and was awarded the Hyatt ELITE Performer Award which is awarded to the top sales performers in all of Hyatt Corporation.


Before joining the Hyatt, Reed was the Director of Game Day Experience and Events for the University of California-Berkeley (Cal) Athletics Department. At Cal, she oversaw the vision and execution of the marketing, special events, and the game day experience and promotions for 27 sports.


Prior to joining Cal, Reed worked stints at Colorado State University and with the NBA Charlotte Hornets and the WNBA Charlotte Sting. In addition to her job responsibilities, she has worked numerous NCAA championship events and conference tournaments as the Marketing/Game Operations Manager.


Megan and her husband Donald reside in Cypress, TX and have three children, Donovan, Maia and Miles.
